THREE entries from Purbeck Agility Group's (PAG) dog dancing classes have won rosettes in their first ever competition.

Dog dancing, also known as Heelwork to Music and Freestyle, is becoming more popular, according to PAG.

Carol Bentley, who runs dog dancing classes at Sandford Community Hall for the group, said: “I am delighted that all my ladies won rosettes in their first ever dog dancing competition.

“Their routines can be seen on the Purbeck Dog Dancing Facebook page.

“The only criteria is that the dog must obey obedience commands and be controllable off lead.”

The PAG teams winning rosettes in the competition were Carol, with collie Suki; Bid (CORRECT) Whittet, with labradoodle Poppy; Carole Redhouse with Scrumpy the collie.

PAG is Kennel Club registered to provide obedience, agility and HTM/Freestyle training.

Dog dancing for beginners classes are held Sunday mornings at Sandford Community Hall, near Wareham, while advanced classes take place at the same venue on Tuesday evenings.
