A MAN has been charged over a fatal ambulance crash which killed a paramedic and an elderly patient.
Richard Husband, 26, of New Forest Drive, Brockenhurst, is charged with two counts of causing death by careless driving.
He has been bailed to appear before Southampton Magistrates' Court on November 15.
The incident happened on the A337 Brockenhurst to Lyndhurst road at its junction with New Park on April 26 this year.
The ambulance left the road and collided with a tree.
Its driver, 42-year-old Gillian Randall, and 88-year-old patient Francis Ironside, died at the scene.
A male crew member and relative of the patient, who were both travelling in the back of the ambulance, sustained serious injuries.
