Rail company CrossCountry received an award for its approach to employee engagement at the British Quality Foundation UK Excellence Awards in London.
Entrants had to demonstrate substantially increased levels of employee engagement and novel approaches to encouraging it.
CrossCountry’s improvements included clearer and more open forms of communications, an expanded employee magazine with more stories about activities outside work, more events where staff could meet company directors and a new intranet.
