AROUND 300 jobs are at risk after the travel company Martyn Leisure Breaks – which owns three Dorset hotels – went into administration.

The firm owns the Russell Hotel and the Prince Regent Hotel in Weymouth as well as the Sherborne Hotel in Sherborne.

A statement on the company confirmed that Hollybush Hotels, which trades as Martyn Leisure Breaks, had gone into administration.

It said: “Peter Holder, Nick Cropper and Anne O'Keefe were appointed Joint Administrators of Hollybush Hotels Limited (the Company) on October 11 2013. “The affairs, business and property of the company are being managed by the joint administrators who act as agents of the Company and without personal liability. “Peter Holder, Nick Cropper and Anne O’Keefe are licensed to Act in the UK as Insolvency Practitioners by the Insolvency Practitioners Association.”

The two hotels in are among the most high-profile in the town.
