A MOTORCYCLIST is being treated at Poole Hospital for serious but not life-threatening injuries after being in collision with a car on Alder Road in Parkstone.
The incident occurred at the junction with Gwynne Road at 5.03pm on Wednesday.
An air ambulance landed at Branksome Rec and was put on standby, but the casualty, a 30-year-old local man, was transported to hospital by road ambulance.
The road was closed in both directions while the scene was investigated.
The car involved was a blue Ford Focus registered to a man from Essex.
The casualty was riding a yellow motorbike.
Sgt Stu Pitman is appealing for witnesses or anyone who saw vehicles before the collision and thanked the community for their patience while the road was closed.
Anyone with information should contact police on 101, quoting incident 343 of October 24.
