A SURVEY on housing needs is being sent to households in Langton Matravers.
Residents are being encouraged to complete the survey which will help to provide evidence for affordable housing in the parish.
Councillor Mike Lovell, Housing and Development Spokesperson for Purbeck District Council said: “Many communities are concerned because some local people currently have to move elsewhere to find suitable housing.
“Young and old in rural areas are often forced to move away from their families because rents and house prices have soared.
“Purbeck District Council is examining the amount of affordable housing required in the parish and would like the views of as many people as possible.”
Residents in the parish of Langton Matravers need to return the survey before 11 November 2013.
