WITNESSES are being sought after a car collided with a 13-year-old girl in Poole.
Police are appealing for information over the incident, which happened outside the Post Office in Wimborne Road, Oakdale, on Saturday.
A 13-year-old girl was on the pedestrian crossing with a friend when the collision with a silver-coloured car happened at around 1-1.30pm.
The victim suffered minor injuries to her legs.
PC Liz Renshaw, of Poole police, said: “The driver of the vehicle did stop briefly and a passenger helped the girl get to the pavement, however they did not leave any contact details. I am keen to speak to them to ascertain exactly what happened.
“It was a busy time of day and there would have been a number of people in the area at the time that may have seen something. I urge any witnesses to come forward.
“A large community vehicle stopped at the scene and I would like to thank the driver for their assistance.”
Witnesses and anyone with information should call Dorset Police in confidence on 101, quoting incident number 14:372. Alternatively, call the free and anonymous Crimestoppers line on 0800 555 111, where mobile phone tariffs may apply.
