The A31 was closed in both directions for a short time on Saturday afternoon after an accident near the Botany Bay pub, near Winterborne Zelston.
Three elderly people were in a Vauxhall Omega that left the road.
Paramedics and fire crews attended but the car occupants did not need hospital treatment.
No other vehicle was involved.
The road was re-opened after an hour, at around 5.20pm.
