A MYSTERY envelope believed to be bearing royal birthday wishes popped through the wrong letterbox on Saturday.

Care home worker Sara Randall was stunned when she saw the Buckingham Palace stamp on the mail delivered to her Bearwood home, but when she looked again she saw it was addressed to a “Mrs C Baker”.

Now Mrs Randall is hoping to track down the intended recipient as she believes the envelope contains a 100th birthday card from the Queen, somehow sent to the wrong address.

“I recognised the envelope as I have seen a few at work, it is too soft for a letter and about the right shape for a card from the Queen,” she said.

“You have to request them these days so I don't know how it ended up here, we have lived here for four years and the previous people were here 16 years and it isn't any of them.

“I have put messages on Facebook and asked around the neighbourhood as it would be a real shame if she doesn't get her birthday card.”
