A BRAVE youngster has proved she’s a cut above by helping children suffering with cancer.
Molly Gray, 10, decided she wanted to lop off her long locks so it could be made into wigs for youngsters who have lost their hair through cancer treatment.
Mum Marcia, of Parkstone, said she is proud at her daughter’s kind-hearted act.
She said: “The last time Molly cut her hair was about four or five years ago, but she had heard about the Little Princess Trust and wanted to help.
“It was like a light bulb went on in her head and she decided she’d do it. Her hair was so long that she could sit on it.”
Molly went to Mirage Hair Salon in Wimborne Road, Kinson, to get her hair chopped, and stylist Selina Perdrisat donated her fee to the trust.
The Oakdale South Road Middle School pupil lost around 15 inches of hair during the cut and raised about £250 in sponsorship.
