A PEDESTRIAN who suffered life-threatening injuries in a crash at a pelican crossing is recovering.
The woman was in Southampton General Hospital after the collision near Bournemouth’s Cooper Dean roundabout in March. But police said yesterday that she had been taken back to Poole Hospital as her recovery continues.
The Bournemouth woman was injured in a crash involving a Smart car at the Cooper Dean roundabout on March 19.
Police initially said the woman, in her 50s, was in a “serious and unstable condition” following the accident. The pedestrian was crossing from the Townsend estate towards Castle Lane when she was in a collision with a Smart car driven by a woman from Ringwood. A police spokesman confirmed that her condition was no longer considered life-threatening.
