DRIVERS were forced to swerve to avoid around 20 turfs which fell off the back of a lorry in West Moors this morning.
Police were called to Newman's Lane just after after 8.30am to deal with traffic outside the Army depot.
Officers are now trying to trace the vehicle responsible.
