BOURNEMOUTH University’s student run Nerve Magazine has scooped Best Design at the Student Publication awards.

The ceremony was hosted at the University of Southampton and the magazine was shortlisted by the Student Publication Association, which is made up of student titles from all over the country.

The magazine, which was established over 20 years ago, is part of the University's Nerve Media brand, which also includes a radio and TV station.

The award comes after the magazine was redesigned earlier this year.

Editor Toby Gray said: "It’s just great that the new look has been rewarded to quickly".

He described the award to be 'a real testament to the great media work happening here at the university at the moment' and hopes it marks the start of a long legacy for the magazine.
