A GAS leak at a Poole school destroyed by fire has closed part of the A35 in Parkstone this afternoon.
Emergency services are on the scene in Commercial Road by Buckholme Towers dealing with the gas leak.
A spokesperson for Dorset Fire and Rescue said the incident was a small fire from a gas supply pipe.
The fire is now extinguished and one crew, out of the two which were sent, has left the scene.
The road is closed from Commercial Road to the Civic Centre in Poole, said a spokesperson for Dorset Police.
It is hoped the road will be open shortly.
