RESIDENTS in Poole are being invited to have their say on how £1million will be spent to improve travel along Ashley Road in Parkstone.
Borough of Poole has allocated funding from the £12.1m Three Towns Travel project for travel options between Poole, Bournemouth and Christchurch and wants to hear the views of local people.
The government-funded improvements along the busy commercial street are themed around better bus stops and improved bus journeys, cycle lanes and secure bicycle storage, more pedestrian crossings, a better local environment and reduced traffic congestion.
People can complete an online questionnaire at boroughof poole.com/threetownstravel until May 10 and on Friday, April 19 between 10am and 6pm council staff will be at Branksome Library in Ashley Road to answer any questions.
“We will use the responses from this survey, along with information gathered from a previous public engagement exercise carried out in February, to help shape travel improvement proposals along Ashley Road,” said Cllr Xena Dion, cabinet portfolio holder for the environment and local economy.
“So whether you walk, cycle, use the bus or car, please complete the questionnaire as your opinions do count in shaping Ashley Road for the future
