WE ALL know what it is to mess-up in life in some way.
Louise Fletcher Tarkington expressed this with deep pathos in one of her poems: “I wish that there were some wonderful place called The Land of Beginning Again; where all our mistakes and all our heartaches could be dropped like a shabby old coat at the door, and never be on again.”
The tremendous news is, that there is a wonderful place where fresh starts are obtained, it is called Calvary. It was there on the cross upon which Jesus took the rap for the wrong we have done, in order to freely offer forgiveness and a brand new start in life.
If that were not enough, he rose from the dead in order to provide us with his resurrection power, living inside of us to give strength for the future. Is there any more? Yes! He said those who believed in him “would not perish, but have everlasting life”!
This is the good news of the gospel – and it is free, and out of reach of the eager hands of the Chancellor of the Exchequer!
So, why not trust the risen, living Lord Jesus today?
