A WIDE range of posts will be on offer at the Daily Echo Jobsfair tomorrow.

Jobseekers and those looking for a change of career are being urged to look beyond a company’s core business and see what posts they have on offer.

They are being urged to visit every stand – a care company might be looking for groundsmen or admin staff, for example.

Those attending should arrive as early as they can, dress smartly, be positive and take plenty of copies of their CV.

New to the fair this year are software security providers Eset UK, teacher supply agency Just Teachers, engineering firm Lab Impex, Nationwide, Protectline Insurance and The Training Room, which trains personal trainers.

Agencies SOS Recruitment, Go Recruit, Rubicon People and Team Recruitment will also be there to match people’s skills to jobs.

The Jobsfair takes place at the Premier Inn at Westover Road, Bournemouth, from 10.30am until 6.30pm tomorrow and has proved a big success in the past for both companies and jobseekers alike.

It is a chance to find a new job, train and tap into advice.

Best Training will be running workshops on how to write a CV and how to prepare for an interview, while a range of employers will be looking to fill job vacancies.

The Jobsfair is being sponsored once again by Bournemouth-based health insurer Health-on-Line and the event also takes place during Careers Week.

The annual campaign aims to promote careers guidance and boost opportunities across the UK, within school and colleges.

Angela Boyer, Classified Manager at the Daily Echo, said: “The Daily Echo Jobsfair is a great opportunity for local job seekers to meet recruiters face to face and make that all important first impression.

"A range of local employers, recruitment agencies and training providers are looking forward to welcoming everyone when the fair opens at 10.30am.

“Not only is the fair great for those out of work, it’s also a chance for those considering changing career paths to talk this through in a positive environment with companies who currently have vacancies.

"The event attracts on average 1,500 visitors – I would therefore recommend that job hunters attend as early as possible on the day to ensure they have time to visit all the stands and perhaps attend some of the training workshops.”
