A CYCLIST is fighting for his life after a collision on a New Forest road.
The 25-year-old was one of a group heading towards Pennington when the accident happened near the Hare and Hounds pub on Pitmore Lane, Sway, at around 10.50am on Sunday, January 13.
His cycle was in collision with a grey Volkswagen Golf, driven by a man from Evesham in Worcestershire and heading towards Brockenhurst.
The cyclist, from Southampton, was taken by the air ambulance to Southampton General Hospital, where police said he was in critical condition.
Anyone who witnessed the collision, or has information that could assist the investigation, should contact the Totton Roads Policing Unit quoting operation Baroque, on 101.
