A MAN has been jailed for drugs offences thanks to tip-offs to police from Christchurch residents.
Damien Turner, right, was arrested after a raid at a property in Clarence Place in the town and has been sentenced to four years in prison.
The 25-year-old, from Park Road in Milford on Sea, denied the charge of possession of cocaine and cannabis with intent to supply but a jury at Bournemouth Crown Court found him guilty.
Police Constable Adrian Best, of Bournemouth enhanced policing team, said: “We are very grateful to the community for providing information which led to the arrest and successful conviction of Turner.”
He added: “This is a good example of residents of Dorset working together with Dorset Police, helping to reduce crime and bring offenders to justice.
“The sentence clearly shows that drug offences will not be tolerated.”
