EXETER Road and Bath Road in Bournemouth town centre have been shut due to a lamppost coming down amid the strong winds.
Police said firefighters have been on scene at the lamppost opposite the Royal Bath Hotel trying to clear the road.
The roads were closed early on Thursday evening next to the Esso garage up the hill from the hotel and at the BIC.
The road was reopened just before 7pm.
