A HOST of sporty Santas will be running off their mince pies this Christmas with help from the Wimborne Rotary Club.
The third annual Great Santa Fun Run will see people dressed in St Nick’s infamous red suit to walk, jog or run two or four miles at the point-to-point course at Badbury Rings.
Once again, competitors will keep all the sponsorship money they raise for the charities of their choice, with £6,500 collected last year.
Wimborne Rotary president Roy Salmon said: “Come rain, snow or shine we can promise families – and even their dogs – a great morning’s fun, all for a good cause.”
Entry for the event, sponsored by Rotary Business Partners, is £10 for adults and £6 for children aged eight to 14, to include a free Santa suit.
The money for entry will be donated to Naomi House Hospice.
The fun run will start on December 16 at 11am, with an organised warm-up at 10.30am.
