THERE is another chance to see Oscar-winning director Danny Boyle’s production of Nick Dear’s play of Frankenstein.

This recorded presentation by the National Theatre will be screened on the Big Screen at the Regent, Christchurch, on June 14 at 1pm.

Jonny Lee Miller will take the part of the Monster.

Then on Thursday, June 22, at 1pm and 7pm, he will swop roles to become Dr Frankenstein, while Benedict Cumberbatch will transform from Dr Frankenstein to take on the role of the Monster.

Based on Mary Shelley’s classic novel, the bewildered creature is cast out into a hostile universe by his horror-struck maker, Dr Frankenstein.

This gothic thriller still has relevance in today’s world as it calls into question scientific responsibility, parental neglect and the nature of good and evil.
