EXTREME mountain sports fans are in for the time of their lives when the world tour of the Banff Mountain Film Festival stops off in Poole next month.

Following sold-out shows across the UK last year, the festival is back on the world tour circuit, visiting more than 280 communities and over 30 different countries, underlining the worldwide popularity of mountain sports and culture.

One of the largest and most prestigious mountain festivals in the world, the Banff Mountain Film Festival features a collection of thought-provoking films, with subject matter ranging from remote landscapes and cultures to adrenaline-packed action sports.

Exhilarating and provocative, the 2013 World Tour is a must-see for mountain enthusiasts and for all those with a spirit of adventure.

The event is produced by Mountain Culture at The Banff Centre in Alberta, Canada, and features award-winning films and audience favourites from approximately 300 films entered into the annual festival in Banff.

When Banff comes to Poole next month its programme will include films on the world’s last great wild places, remote cultures and amazing footage of adrenaline packed action sports such as climbing, kayaking, skiing and mountain biking.

The Banff Mountain Film Festival is at Lighthouse, Poole on February 16.
