A NEW range of Sangria cocktails has been launched at a Bournemouth eaterie, following the rise in popularity of fruit-flavoured wines.
Created in-house, drawing inspiration from the team’s numerous trips to the Mediterr-anean and launched during the height of British summer, La Tasca’s new range of Sangria cocktails aims to transport the residents of Bournemouth on a journey to the Spanish sun, and prove that a traditional Spanish tipple can be enjoyed at home in the UK.
James Picton, operations director at La Tasca Restaurants, said: “Sangria has recently enjoyed something of a renaissance, with demand by customers constantly increasing.”
As Sangria is traditionally served in a pitcher between friends, it’s the perfect beverage to serve alongside a summer barbecue. Try making one of La Tasca’s new cocktails at home by following these simple steps:
Gin, Apple & Elderflower Sangria Arium White
– 250ml Gin
– 75ml Elderflower Cordial
– 75ml Lemonade
– 300ml Apple Juice
– 100ml Ice cubes
Mixed fruit
Fill jug 1/3 full with ice. Add mixed fruit. Pour over spirits, wine and juice. Top up with lemonade and mix.
Tropical Sangria Vodka
– 33ml Peach Schnapps
– 33ml Malibu
– 33ml Arium Rose
– 250ml Orange juice
– 175ml Gomme Syrup
– 25ml Lemonade
– 250ml Ice cubes
- Mixed fruit
Fill jug 1/3 full with ice. Add mixed fruit. Pour over spirits, wine and gomme syrup. Top up with lemonade and orange juice and mix.
