THE Simon and Garfunkel Story is as much a chronicle of the defining and explosive 1960s as it is about these legends.

Greg Clarke's Simon and Joe Sterling's Garfunkel delivered a beautiful musical story overlaying the decade of JFK, Martin Luther King, free love and Vietnam.
From Mrs Robinson to Cecilia and Homeward Bound, the tale of the boyhood friends from Queens was told with passion, skill and lovely harmonies.
Clarke was especially authentic, Sterling rather over-exuberant in his performance as the notoriously aloof Garfunkel.
He had big shoes to fill in Bridge Over Troubled Waters and did a good job. The Boxer finale was disappointing, an over-the-top production which lost the emotion and nuances of the heart-wrenching original.
But the audience loved it all of course. Music to die for. Pure poetry.
