IT’S been described as Monty Python for kids. The Horrible Histories Live Show is an entertaining, educational and blood-thirsty romp through time based on Terry Deary’s best-selling books.
There is always plenty of audience participation and terrible puns as well as special sound effects and colourful costumes.
This year the Birmingham Stage Company is performing two live shows at the Lighthouse. I took my 11-year-old son to see the Terrible Tudors and although the cast is small, the four of them are so versatile that they are able to bring each figure to life from head-chopping Henry VIII to evil Elizabeth 1.
The show alternates on different nights with the Vile Victorians so decide which horrible bit of history you want to relive before you book. Performances run until Sunday November 25.
