CHEEKY Olly Murs is happy to be returning to Bournemouth next week for two sold-out shows at the BIC. The singer told us about his previous visits to the bright lights of our seaside town.

“I’m not going to lie. I’ve been to Bournemouth before for a couple of lad’s weekends and it’s always been good fun,” says Olly.

Since becoming the runner-up in the X Factor 2009, Olly has proved himself to be the real winner with hit records and a massive UK arena tour. While he may enjoy a few drinks, he’s focused on maintaining his meteoric career.

“Pop stars have a reputation for being party animals. But I’d rather be fully-fit for the gig and stay in good shape,” says Olly, 27.

Before finding fame, Olly had a semi-professional football career with Witham Town and has displayed his silky skills for the charity, Soccer Aid in 2010.

“Many, many moons ago I went to Bournemouth to see my uncle play football. I think it was the third round of the FA Cup.”

This month Olly has been nominated for Best British Single at the Brit Awards for Heart Skips A Beat. This is his second Brit nomination, as he was included in the same category last year.
