THIS month sees the return of the Moscow City Ballet to Poole’s Lighthouse, with Swan Lake on February 21-23, the greatest romantic ballet of all.
The immortal love story filled with magic, emotion and beauty has been made more popular by the success of the Natalie Portman movie Black Swan.
From the splendour of the magnificent court room to the exhilarating lake scenes where swans play in perfect formation, Tchaikovsky’s hauntingly beautiful music creates an unforgettable experience.
The run ends with family favourite The Nutcracker on February 24 and 26.
In a magical production, this fantasy ballet begins as night falls on a traditional fireside scene on Christmas Eve.
On the stroke of midnight we are transported to an enchanting world where nothing is as it seems; as toy dolls come to life, an army of soldiers does battle with a gang of mice and a Nutcracker is transformed into a handsome prince.
Tickets are £14.50 to £31.50.
