LOCAL hero John Maddocks brings his seven-piece Jazzmen to Bournemouth Trad Jazz Club at the Durley Dean Hotel on May 24.
One of the most popular bands on the British traditional jazz circuit, the band will be joined by the exceptional talents of young alto sax star Amy Roberts who is rated as one of the best in the UK.
This is a repeat of the Club's 2008 Christmas special which had the audience shouting for more as the band and Amy played to a full house.
The Jazzmen are led by John on reeds with Peter Wilkinson (trumpet), Tony Farr (trombone), Chris Satterley (piano), David Broomfield (banjo/guitar), Peter McCurry (bass) and Brian Barker (drums).
