A MARKETING company which has been hired by a UK-wide parcel service says it has seen business confidence return “with a boom”.

Bournemouth-based Fireworx has won a contract with Collect+, the UK’s largest service for sending parcels via shops.

Collect+ runs its collection and sending service through 10,000 newsagents, convenience stores, supermarkets and petrol stations. It has partnerships with couriers including Amazon, DHL, DPD, eBay, FedEx, HubBox and Parcel2G

The business, owned and operated by PayPoint, has appointed Fireworx to work on its search engine optimisation and design and make it more visible to business people running newsagents and convenience stores.

Dan Smith, managing director of Fireworx, said: “It is a fantastic achievement for the business to have won this work with Collect+. The brand is nationally recognised and has seen significant growth following the shift in consumer shopping habits, due to the temporary closure of non-essential retail.

“As a challenger agency, we pride ourselves on our ability to think disruptively and differently to help our clients solve and overcome any hurdles.

“We thrive on working with brands that are happy to be pushed out of their comfort zone and go against industry conventions to stand out from the crowd, engage more customers and drive more sales.”

Fireworx positioned itself as “a growth agency for challenger brands”. Mr Smith told the Daily Echo that business had picked up markedly this year.

“Last year was really hard. We really struggled because projects we were doing either got postponed or marketing was the first thing that got cut,” he said.

“This year, confidence has really returned with a boom. We’re back to pre-Covid levels, even better than that, which is fantastic. We’re really encouraged by that.”

PayPoint marketing director Chandni Chandarana said: “I have worked with Dan and the team for many years now and have the confidence in them to deliver high-quality designs and concepts to any project I give them. The team are always willing to help, go the extra mile and give constructive advice along the way. I look forward to working with them for years to come.”

Fireworx, founded in 2007, is listed by industry publication The Drum as one of the Top Ten UK Elite Agencies.
