SINGERS from Clean Bandit are set to wow audiences this summer as they perform with Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra.
The orchestra has announced its return to Meyrick Park for two outdoor concerts in July.
The first concert, Classical Extravaganza on July 26, will feature some of the best symphonic music ever written.
This includes music by Rimsky-Korsakov, Grieg and Saint-Saens, as well as a quick trip to the cinema with scores from John Williams and Hans Zimmer.
The evening will reach its climax with Wagner’s Ride of the Valkyries, accompanied by a fireworks and pyrotechnics display.
The second concert on July 27 will see disco music lighting up the stage in Disco Symphonic Spectacular.
The evening will feature arrangements of music by the Bee Gees, Earth Wind and Fire, Boney M, Sister Sledge, Donna Summer, Kool and the Gang, to name a few.
A host of popular singers will join the orchestra to bring the music to life.
This includes Kirsten Joy and Tess Burrstone, both known for their performances with Clean Bandit, and signers Gavin Conder and Nick Shirm.
Audiences can relive the magical sounds of the seventies in a trip back to the time of big hair and platform shoes in full symphonic glory, also culminating in a spectacular pyrotechnic and firework display.
BSO Pops conductor, Pete Harrison, said: “I can’t wait to return to Bournemouth’s Meyrick Park with these two concerts showcasing the best of classical and disco music.
“Whether you fancy a night under the stars listening to some of the greatest symphonic and film music written, or dancing the night away listening to the BSO play well-known classics alongside a star-studded line-up, these concerts are guaranteed to leave you with a smile on your face.”

Visitors are encouraged to bring picnics to enjoy in the park after gates open at 6pm, ahead of the concerts at 8pm.
