FOLLOWING on from the success of last year’s event, we’re delighted to announce that the Bournemouth Bay Run is back and already over half way to participant capacity.

Organised by Bournemouth council and sponsored by Fitness First, the event takes place on Sunday April 1, with all sponsorship money raised going to the British Heart Foundation (BHF).

Event-goers can choose to run the half marathon, 10km or 5km distance, following a beautiful route from Bournemouth Pier, along the seafront and around the surrounding area.

Over 1,200 of an available 2,000 places have already been snapped up on the half marathon and 10km events, so my message to everyone who has already registered is to please make your place count and raise as much sponsorship money for us as you can. Without sponsorship from events like this, we wouldn’t be able to continue our life saving work into heart disease – Britain’s biggest killer.

For readers that haven’t yet signed up, please be quick as places are filling up very fast at bhf.org.uk/bayrun.

Anyone who misses out on a place, or who wants to support the wonderful work we do without taking part themselves, can pledge their support to this event by calling 0800 169 3672.
