I REFER to the recent debate about hunting and eating meat.
Country people have nothing against foxes as animals – it’s the damage they do.
Not many people have ever been to witness a flock of laying hens after a fox has finished with them.
Some will be dead, many suffering with bleeding necks or backs, many unable to walk and the remainder so scared some stop laying eggs for weeks.
Deep litter, or battery birds had no fears of such slaughter.
As for eating meat, birds and animals that eat meat in equal size are the stronger.
