I WAS shocked and saddened to read in your issue of December 17, 2011 of the sacking of Cllr Nicola Greene, the cabinet member for Children’s Services and Education.
Nicola was an outstanding portfolio holder and very dedicated and committed to the young people of our town.
As chairman of the corporate parenting panel, she attended our meetings and was 100 per cent involved. Many a time she would tell me how lucky she felt working with such a super department and some very professional and dedicated staff and young people.
The leader of the council Peter Charon doesn’t want anyone to disagree with him or have their own opinion. Bournemouth has lost a very capable cabinet member. It’s a shame the other cabinet members don’t put a vote of no confidence in him.
