P. HORNBY’S interesting letter in the Echo (June 28) asserts that we cyclists are to blame for many of the “problems” and that 80 per cent of us do not have lights and 90 per cent of us do not know what a red light is.

As all assertions need evidence, please could he provide this and indicate the size of the population in his sample?
