I HAVE some good news for Rayna Phillips (Why has the Council cancelled Kite Day?).
I attended a meeting where the re-introduction of a Kite Festival at Hengistbury Head was agreed and provisionally booked for Sunday, September 19 (and possibly also on the previous day).
I would stress that the festival will be run by a private operator and not by the council.
