TO some degree I despair that those responsible for Bournemouth’s roads will ever get things right or prioritise the needs of our failing infrastructure.

Bournemouth’s roads are now a patchwork of potholes. Why have they been allowed to deteriorate, a failure of responsible planning?

Surely it is not rocket science to implement a programme of road resurfacing to a high standard. This council seems always capable of wasting money, taxpayers’ money, my money on frivolous schemes ie reef, Imax etc.

I would like some reason why at Wallisdown, a ‘puffin’ (whatever that means), is being constructed.

From a visual point of view it appears that the road has been narrowed – for what reason? It also has non-slip paving adjacent to this ramped area. Why? There is a pedestrian crossing just 15 yards away, surely this is not another access point to cross the road.

Who or what is going to benefit from this construction?

I have also just driven past Hurn Airport, and seen the traffic lights, which benefits those trying to turn right, however why on earth have the roads been marked so that traffic can either turn and/or go straight on, therefore having two lanes then diverging into one? A great recipe for road rage and collision damage.

I would be interested in explanations to educate a hard pressed council tax paying pensioner.
