PETROL fumes, furious motorists, extortionate prices, Chris Harding got it spot on in “What is all the fuss about” (Letters Jan 5).

Where are these furious motorists who are fuming? They are not the general average motorist – the local person perhaps with a family.

They couldn’t give a monkeys how much a litre fuel is. They will still put in their 10, 15, 20 pounds worth, whatever is in the pocket at the time, just like the smoker and drinker. Whack the prices up and they will still smoke and drink and why not?

That’s their choice and it’s yours.

If you don’t pay the price of fuel you don’t drive, easy.
