After reading two separate articles (Daily Echo, September 27) I was left feeling very angry!
The first article concerned the “jobless couple” who are having to manage without landline phone, internet and TV services, plus the worry about spending money on petrol for the car, but the good news is they are just about managing to live on jobseekers allowance!
The headline for the second article read “Home care shake-up plans”.
It appears that several of the most vulnerable residents are going to lose their home care services with others paying more.
Why is it when there are cuts to be made the elderly always suffer first?
Perhaps it is because this generation are too proud to complain when they struggle to exist?
