I READ with interest that the Gala Bingo Club is to become a 21st Century Church (Have Your Say, August 25).
My husband and I were married at St John’s Church in Moordown, which is opposite, and we held our reception in the restaurant of the Modern Cinema as it was then, 64 years ago this November.
The guests only had to walk across the road. The letter brought back happy memories.
