In response to Cllr Tony Woodcock, (Have Your Say, June 26) it seems a breath of fresh air, pardon the pun, that offshore windfarms (miles off shore) are in the process taking off without too much hassle from those who do not want them to spoil their view.
It is clean (no pollution) thus creating clean jobs.
Given the financial situation it would be prudent to make sure that future ways of providing energy will in the end be cleaner and less costly for future generations.
Speaking as a pensioner I do not see how this is going to cost us more.
I would prefer to see future generations enjoying a not only cleaner but safer world.
Scotland is miles ahead of us in hydro, tidal power and wind power. Other countries have had windfarms on land for years with no problems whatsoever.
