I am confident that the people of Bournemouth and district will wish to turn out in strength to applaud The Rifles when they march through our town and receive the honour of the Freedom of the Borough on Sunday afternoon, July 25.
Our presence will demonstrate our gratitude to our soldiers at this difficult time.
I hope that full details, giving timing, route and best vantage point for the ceremony itself, will soon be prominently advertised, thus ensuring maximum support.
