I wonder if any other readers find the road junction near the Nuffield Hospital in Lansdowne Road a nightmare when approaching from Beechey Road or Cavendish Road?
If it isn’t already an accident blackspot I fear it will not be too long before it becomes one.
Apart from the steady stream of traffic along Lansdowne Road the problem can be made worse when the view when coming from Beechey Road or Cavendish Road is blocked by a bus at the nearby bus stops. Queues can form behind cars trying to use the junction and in these circumstances it would be very easy for a driver to make a very serious error of judgement with disastrous consequences. This junction is sometimes used by ambulances coming from the nearby depot and must surely cause ambulance drivers a real headache.
We already have traffic lights at the nearby Beechey Road/Wellington Road junction and I wonder if a further set of lights at this particular spot might help solve the problem.
