A few months ago, I was walking peacefully through Kings Park when a dog came running very fast towards me away from its owner.
The next thing I knew it had pushed my right leg so hard that I lost my balance and fell over, badly spraining my ankle.
I was unable to work for five weeks and still cannot work full time because my job is quite physical.
It ruined my summer and I could not take my annual two week summer holiday.
At the time I saw as an accident but over time I now see it as an incident that should not have happened.
Surely dog owners should call their dogs back if they see it running towards strangers.
Not everyone is aware of how safe or unsafe a strange dog is and not everyone wants a dog jumping up at them.
I now feel worried about walking in any public park.
