I would like to advise readers that a special charity week will be taking place in October, in aid of The Children’s Trust.

Humphrey’s Pyjama Week, now in its second year, is taking place from October 12 to 16.

Nurseries, pre-school groups and primary schools are being invited to take part in this annual, fun charity event.

Toddlers will be encouraged to put on their favourite sleepwear for just one day at nursery or school and make a £2 donation for charity.

Money from the week’s event will benefit The Children’s Trust, a national charity that provides care, education and therapy for children with multiple disabilities and complex health needs, and rehabilitation services to children with an acquired brain injury.

All nurseries and schools that register will receive an event pack with lots of information and fun ideas for a party, together with a specially written activity booklet by Sally Hunter, creator and illustrator of Humphrey’s Corner.

The booklet, with its delightful illustrations, tells the story of Humphrey visiting his special friend at The Children’s Trust.

All children who take part in a Humphrey’s Pyjama Party will receive a commemorative sticker and certificate.

So don’t delay!
