NO ONE wants a 5G mast outside their house, they are excessively large and have unknown long term health implications, but they are being rolled out across the conurbation.
The council planning department has now allowed the Castle Lane West mast, Broadway Lane and I understand now Sopwith Crescent to go ahead because they have not responded in the allotted time, allowing Three to erect their masts.
Residents are now left with houses no one wants and all because the planning department seems incompetent or worse.
There needs to be an independent public inquiry into the failings of the councils planning department and serious questions need to be asked concerning the councils mishandling of this matter.
Councillors should be aware that people will remember this when deciding how to vote in next year’s elections.
