TO CLOSE the entry to Sandbanks Car Park early on Sunday was a good idea. It was already full at 8am on Sunday, July 18.
I am assuming that residents and cars were able to get to their houses and allow smooth access for their guests.
Let us leave aside the Haven Hotel (whose life is in the balance ) and their guests navigating the peninsula.
The Sandbanks Ferry has been there for many many years. Toiling away between Sandbanks and Studland.
An idyllic part of the South coast. A joy to many visitors. No to mention Brownsea Island and Poole Quay.
Things have taken an ugly turn. Covid has put paid to all that.
More people are not wanting to go abroad for holidays and therefore staying at home.
We will overcome this blip but it will take patience and time.
