HAVING read about Dennis and Gladys Lilley in today’s Echo I am shocked at the callous way in which these two elderly people are being treated.
No one has the right to keep them apart. They depend on each other for love and support.
How can someone with such a grandiose title not understand this?
I hope many others will join me in demanding that Councillor Karen Rampton finds a way to keep them together for the short time they have left.
This is a matter of urgency. Please don’t talk about empathy or rules. Get it done now.
Sorry to say this but the life they have left could be measured in smiles, not years.
Please help Dennis to be reunited with Gladys ASAP.
