I FIND it difficult to comprehend the reasons given by BCP for the continuing closure of the seafront car park.

Rather than reducing social distancing, surely this causes an increase as there is heavier footfall on the narrow zig zags leading to the beach and larger gatherings of beachgoers near these access points, rather than spreading the load along the whole length between the piers.

Also those hundreds of cars which could be accommodated continue to search for spaces in the surrounding streets, causing traffic chaos and illegal parking.
