A NEW study by the university of Sheffield and Loughborough, in partnership with consultancy firm Economic Insight, looked at the ONS figures and found there were 21,000 deaths as a result of lockdown.
These are deaths not caused by Covid-19, but by people unable, or unwilling to access normal healthcare services. Oncologists are also reporting that thousands more people will be dying an early death from cancer.
Will all these people warrant a rolling news death announcements on the BBC? I doubt it. This, coupled with the destruction of hundreds of thousands of jobs and livelihoods is a huge scandal, caused by a completely incompetent, reactionary government, running from one panic measure to the next.
